Ironically, of the whole complex, the cave itself is the least interesting part for most visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What really draws travelers here from all over the world are <strong>the breathtaking views over the area<\/strong>, waiting at the top of a steep stairway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And we can promise you this: <strong>the place will test your legs on the way up<\/strong>. Visit the cave<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because although we tourists are far more interested in the summit, <strong>at the foot of the stairway<\/strong> you&#8217;ll find the cave that gives the place its name. It&#8217;s nothing special, honestly, but it&#8217;s worth <strong>a few minutes to walk through<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_explore_the_grounds\"><\/span>2. Explore the grounds<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On our last visit to Ninh Binh, a <strong>huge spike-shaped boardwalk<\/strong> had been built over a beautiful pond filled with lotus flowers and other aquatic plants. Instagram away at the tower<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>One of the two main spots at the top of Hang Mua<\/strong> is the tower \u2014 a pretty little structure that <strong>delights Instagrammers and travelers alike.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s <strong>very common to find girls in traditional Vietnamese dress<\/strong> posing for photos here, <strong>along with couples in full wedding attire<\/strong> taking their classic wedding shots \u2014 no small feat considering the climb to get there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_watch_the_sunset_or_sunrise_at_the_dragon_peak\"><\/span>4. Watch the sunset or sunrise at the Dragon peak<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The left branch of the climb takes you to the very top of Mua Cave, where you&#8217;ll find a small resting spot and <strong>an enormous dragon<\/strong> set among the rocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you visit Hang Mua <strong>at sunset, watch out for the crowds up here<\/strong> \u2014 at certain moments we&#8217;ve felt genuinely hemmed in by the number of people squeezing between the jagged rocks, with barely any room and a drop on either side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just <strong>find a good spot and take in the sunset with the Ngo Dong river at your feet, the rice fields and the karst peaks all around you \u2014 simply wonderful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you climb at <strong>sunrise, the downside is the early alarm \u2014 but in exchange you&#8217;ll find very few people<\/strong> and views every bit as marvelous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"where_is_mua_cave_and_how_to_get_there\"><\/span>Where is Mua Cave and how to get there<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mua Cave sits <strong>in the village of Khe Dau Ha on the outskirts of Tam Coc<\/strong>, a few kilometers from Ninh Binh city and about <strong>90 km from Hanoi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can easily reach it from Tam Coc on a short bicycle ride, or from Ninh Binh&nbsp;by renting a motorbike or taking a taxi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On arrival, various locals will wave you toward their parking spots.
